Every brand has a beginning, and mine started in a classroom at West Virginia University.
Like many college students, I was given a class project and needed to choose a topic. The problem was, I had no idea what I wanted to do. That's when two of my friends—twins Keith and Kevin—offered a simple suggestion that would unknowingly change the course of my life.
"Why don't you do it on women's shoes and foot care?"
It sounded like a fun and unique idea, so I ran with it.
To complete my project, I carried a disposable camera with me around the WVU campus, meeting students and asking women if they would allow me to take photos for my class assignment. Every conversation, every photograph, and every new connection helped bring the project to life. What began as a simple college assignment quickly became something much more inspiring.
At the time, I never imagined that this classroom project would plant the seed for a future brand. I certainly didn't envision that years later it would evolve into Sassy Foot Fashion—a company built on creativity, confidence, fashion, and school pride.
Looking back, it's amazing how one small assignment, a disposable camera, and a couple of great friends could spark an idea that continues to grow. Sometimes the biggest journeys begin with the simplest moments.
